WHO IS EDNA VALLECERA BAGABALDO?

Let us first introduce her principles in life which she adopted from the motto of late Mother Theresa of Calcutta:

“You can do what I cannot do, I can do what you cannot do, but together we can do great things.”

She is the eldest daughter of the five siblings of Mr. Lorenzo “Ensong” Gultia Bagabaldo of Cawayanan & Poblacion I and Mrs. Eufrocena “Enying” Bernales Vallecera of Tambo & Marcelo Mabini, Bohol both an ordinary citizens of this town.

Edna is a homegrown Mabininian that she study her Elementary and Graduated as Valedictorian at Mabini Central Elementary School batch 1978 then finish her high school and Graduated Valedictorian in Santa Monica Institute batch 1982. She is also a recipient of Gerry Roxas Scholastic Leadership Award and several numerous awards and medals during her stint and study in Mabini.
She conferred with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce Accounting Major in University of Bohol batch October 1986 with a medal as accounting topnotcher though a consistent scholar and deans lister she work as part time sales agent in Avon and other beauty product during her spare time.

She works as saleslady of Ben Magalona’s travelling store during weekend and no classes in her childhood days.

She was elected as Kabataang Barangay now SK President in Poblacion I so leadership is already in her blood even during her childhood days though a lot of local politicians at that time seeing the leadership potentials on her encourage her to run as town councilor. But she opted to venture in big cities to gain more experience and national connections because she believes we need national connection for us to help develop our town and at that time her family needs also her help to educate her younger brothers and sisters.

In Manila she works as Saleslady in Uniwide Sales Department Store, Accounting Clerk in Department of Foreign Affairs, Custom Brokerage and Forwarding which she started as accounting clerk then become Finance and Accounting Manager where she gain experience and mold her managerial skills.
Edna valued education so much that she personally pursued her younger brothers and sisters to study though they come from a poor family but with God Blessings and Grace all of them able to finish there study. And she also want to enhance herself so she take-up Master in Custom Administration in Philippine Maritime Institute (PMI) Sta. Cruz Manila.

As she explore further on her career one day she meets her aunt that recruited her to try as part time real estate sales agent which she thinks will be an opportunity to help Mabininians base in Manila to own a house and back by her fashion for sales so she never take a second thought on accepting the challenge. Then as she is naturally a hard working person a basic requirement to succeed in any sales job the real estate industry did not prostrate her as she receives numerous awards, recognition and now own a house and lot, townhouse and some properties in Luzon but not only that she is more fulfilled when she see an ordinary driver from Mabini now owns a house and lot, a factory worker, security guard and many more whom she helps own a house and lot though they are ordinary workers in Manila.

Currently she is a Real Estate Broker and Auditor of Makati Central Business District Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP Makati CBD Chapter), President of EVB Reality and Manila base real estate brokerage firm and DUROC-JESEY ENTERPRISES, INC a Bohol base agrivet stores and dealership.

She has a fashion for leadership which started during the early days of her life being a KB President in Poblacion I and consistent class president during her school days.

She has the fashion in helping others as she can be a corporate executive but opted to become a Real Estate Broker and Entrepreneur. And many Manila base Mabininians who can attest on how she helps without expecting anything in return.

She has a good management experience in private sector that can be applied to help in the development and progress of Mabini.

She has the national connection to both private and government sector that can be tap to help improve that life on the people of Mabini.

She knows the offices, ins and outs of government agencies that can be tap for the progress and development of Mabini.

She has the technical know how on how to tackle the main problem of Mabini which is the poverty and income threshold.

She has a realistic plan and program of action for the development and progress of Mabini and its populace.

She can devout her talent and energy in serving the people of Mabini as she is still single and no body depends on her.

She is God fearing, hardworking, honest and fair in her private dealings, open hearts, approachable to all levels of people, dedicated on her goals & has a vision for Mabini.

She is the official Candidate for Mayor of Mabini under Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP).

She is the founding chairman of the board of Emerging Bol-anon for Mabini.

Act as a conduit on the help from national leaders in the availment on the poverty reduction program of our national government which is already enjoyed in Luzon and other municipalities.

Valued the importance of natural treasures and cultural heritage to support tourism development.

Build a community where people are productive, with dignity and fear of God.

Activate the ordinary citizens for peace & community development of Mabini.

Get the support of GO & NGO for basic needs of Mabini especially education, health and other basic services.

Address the poverty level with concrete action.

Balance treatment to all people regardless of status.

Achieve a balance budget on the LGU of Mabini.

Long term development plan of Mabini base on common good to all.

Direct Mabini towards national & global competitiveness

Organized the women, senior citizens and youth of Mabini.

Service of Local Government Unit of Mabini will be available to all people.
